Jim & Jack’s

This is an old “honky-tonk” on River Road, a few miles west of downtown Cincinnati that boasts the “Tri-State’s Best Pizza”. In my experience, old honkytonks are not traditionally known for their pizzaioli & and when I saw a line dancing class underway, I was particularly skeptical. However, while not quite the best in the three state area, Jim & Jack’s pizza was rather delicious. It’s a square cut tavern style pizza, with copious amounts of cheese, sauce, and pepperoni. The edge of the crust features a bit of caramelized cheese and the pepperoni is cupped (two of my favorites). It’s a bit topping heavy, such that one may opt to use a knife & fork. Also, the heavy toppings made the center crust the slightest bit soggy. But overall it was quite good & clearly the greatest honky-tonk pizza I’ve ever had.
