Guardia Pizza

A strong addition to the local pizza scene, @guardiacincy recently opened in Mt Lookout Square by the team behind @delwoodcincy. The vibe channels Brooklyn slice shops - casual counter service with a bar attached. They offer by-the-slice (rare in Cincy outside mall food courts) and whole pies. I grabbed a whole Burrata Pie to go.

Guardia delivers a refined New York-style pizza - thin, crisp, and exceptionally well balanced. The crust had a clean, even bake with light leopard spotting. It was crisp and structurally sound, not sagging at all, without being stiff - a sign of quality baking technique. The sauce was bright and tomato-forward, complementing the creamy burrata dollops, fresh basil, and fine dusting of Parm. It was a thoughtfully constructed pie - Every element feels intentional and measured. Delicious.
